Spending a day on the sofa

Today took me a while to wake up and always happens this time of year, autumn 2024 and I have been active, did a walk on the treadmill and now going to spend the day on the sofa. 


I find this time I have to myself, whilst my son is at school to be chilled and peaceful as my son is so energetic that it is can be a shock to wake up early and so have time to work on blogs, have a nice lunch in between and tomorrow going to go out and to have a coffee, do some writing in a coffee shop and go to B&M, which is now one of my favourite stores. 

However, today it is me watching a bit of Youtube, catching up on my google blogs and other blogs I write on Wordpress, along with working on a book I am writing and going through emails. 

Of course I do need to dry up from Breakfast, but will do this once it gets closer to lunch and hydrate and then get back on the couch and do some more on my laptop and may catch up on some TV. 

Well that lasted. As my husband just popped in, whilst I am drinking the last drops of Galaxy Hot Chocolate. 

Yes a healthy drink? Not, but what I fancied and then may still have a coffee but going to see how I feel and then I will be making dinner. So got a few hours to play with and then it is back on duty being a parent and getting ready for the evening. 

It is important to have good seating in the home and find I function better when I am not up writing on the dining table, all of the time.

Finding some nice music to play can really help with the cosiness of having time to myself and stay on the sofa and be present and it makes me feel so grateful of all the things I have in my life and feel content. Creating a perfect setting and environment, like a scented candle and being in the warm and taking the day in my stride.

Coffee and cakes

So I thought my son had his first Babyccino this week, but found out that it wasn't and he didn't like the hot milk version but cold. This was in Costas and I love their cornflakes cakes and even though I do have a coffee machine in my home they aren't as good. Finding a decent coffee

I love having a my coffee each day and been trying to not buy coffee from a coffee shop all of the time and use the jars of coffee I have and has made a difference but will treat myself to a Costa Coffee for example, but not all of the time. If you add up the amount a coffee from a coffee shop costs it can really damage your bank balance.  I am choosy when it comes to coffee and Greggs for do a decent Latte and is out of a machine rather than a coffee maker, and is cheaper than a coffee shop.  When it comes to a cup of coffee you want it to be smooth and not bitter. Cafe Nero for example I find their coffee too strong and so will go for a Chai Latte or a Hot Chocolate.  They say that Coffee can cause Anxiety which I read in a book, but for me it is different and it wakes me up and find it fills me up, and have to have a cup. Why I like my own mug

Hello sorry it has been a while since writing on this blog. If you didn't know I am doing a life coaching programme "The Summer Project 2023" and is helping you have a better year and happy life, check out my blog site: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com   I have created videos that are on my main Youtube channel for this project and so check it here via this link:  typicallondongal  It is June 2023 and today whilst having my first cup of tea completed the first draft of my book and feels so good to have this done. Having my own mug helps with that and it just something that gives me comfort.  When working in offices you would be asked to have your own mug if you wanted a cup of tea and coffee and thought that this was such a good idea and it makes it a homely environment. Of course if you work in a supermarket not so good because eating and drinking in front of customer is unprofessional, but doesn't mean you can't bring your own mug use it when you take a break
