How I like give myself time/resting/Self care/listen to my body

Image
Hello so it has been a while, so it feels writing a blog, I wanted to take a break and was little unwell but all good now and want to talk being a stylish mamma and this blog is about taking time for you.  It is listening to your body needs and finding a breathable method if there are days that just too much.  - Find a good book to read. I love reading have done since I was a kid and it is so important and it is my refuge and I love at summer time especially sitting outside in the garden reading good novel, and to keep my love of reading alive. - Listening to signs of what your body is telling you. This helps with diet, if you need extra sleep and you need more time for yourself, and listening to your body and what it truly is craves is the way.  - Break the days up in segments. I have talked about Block scheduling, it mixes the days up and doing different things happening through the day makes the days enjoyable, rather than worried about not having enough time. Celebrating Mothers Day/Why us mums deserve a day just for ourselves

Image
So Mothers Day has gone in the UK but last weekend it was Mothers Day in other countries like the US and so thought I'd take the opportunity to write a blog post dedicated to it.  Those who are in the U.S I hope you had a good day celebrating being a mamma, and I wanted to talk about why us mums deserve a day just for ourselves and it helps me look at myself as a parent, and me and my son are closer than ever. I didn't get to see him, but when I do he loves me watching TV with him and those moments can never be taken for granted and he is such a happy-go-lucky child that it is fantastic that he sees me as his mum and someone who is his friend aswell as his mother.  I used to think this is a dangerous territory, but now, no I want to be my son's friend aswell as his mother and you can be both. I want him to feel loved out of this world, as that for is important and to be there when he needs support to help him become independent. I feel we take on so much, being a parent and

Friday fish n chips in the blissful summer/Fairwell Lockdown

Image
As far as I am concerned you can't beat a plate of fish n chips and today I had my first in a long while. I am so ready for the summer and sitting by the river having a pub lumch like these with a glass of iced cold Lemonade. If you have never ventured into London, but would like a heads up of where to go, then my favourite place is Putney, and they have a lovely set of pubs near the river and I am so ready for those glorious things.  Putney is also great if you like a shop and there is a mall. It has many charity shops if you like these type of stores, and it has one of my favourite shops a big Paperchase, where if they had a flat next door or upstairs, I would live there like a shot. With Lockdown it has made me miss the little things in life, and there is a lovely park nearby for kids too, by the river where you can grab a coffee or a cup of tea.  They do have toilets in there too, and has tennis court and football pitches.  It is good to know we can venture out again, as Lockdo

Image
This weekend I did two videos of What I like to wear video, both Sat and Sunday, and its usually items I can grab without too much thought and that was the case this weekend. Sunday I wore no make up as I wanted to give my skin a chance to breath, which is important and have time doing different things and this weekend was no exceptions.  Here they are: I have done more of these types of videos and so check out my channel, typicallondongal Carrie Holmes, to watch these. Many thanks for your time, and see you in the next blog.  Carrie X
