Christmas pudding or Christmas Cake

As a kid we had both, a Christmas Cake and a Christmas pudding and because I wasn't keen on fruit cake would just eating the icing and was served with a Christmas tea. The pudding was pudding after having Christmas Dinner along with a homemade trifle. 



Then it would be playing games like card games, if it was a card game it would be all the adults, but as I grew older along with my family we would play games that all could play and be such good fun. 

Now as an adult myself I don't really eat Christmas cake, it is always Christmas pudding or trifle and I will be making my own again next year in certainity. 

I am indecisive about which one I will have this year, but see how I feel on the day and hopefully one has been picked up, along Brandy butter to add to the side. 

As it is Christmas Eve that I am writing this blog whlst my son is going for a walk to find him his football that was kicked ontop of the fence as where I live has a playground and so hunting for that and gonna go for my Christmas walk in the morning with Henry and perhaps if not tto rainy see if there is a park open. 

So for me it has to be the traditional Christmas pudding over cake but would like to make a Christmas cake too at some point and hopefully it will be next year. 

Which will you be having this year? and do you still do both Christmas cake along with Christmas pudding? if you have another type of dessert then please comment below as I would love to hear suggestions, so all ideas welcome.

Finding a decent coffee

I love having a my coffee each day and been trying to not buy coffee from a coffee shop all of the time and use the jars of coffee I have and has made a difference but will treat myself to a Costa Coffee for example, but not all of the time. If you add up the amount a coffee from a coffee shop costs it can really damage your bank balance.  I am choosy when it comes to coffee and Greggs for do a decent Latte and is out of a machine rather than a coffee maker, and is cheaper than a coffee shop.  When it comes to a cup of coffee you want it to be smooth and not bitter. Cafe Nero for example I find their coffee too strong and so will go for a Chai Latte or a Hot Chocolate.  They say that Coffee can cause Anxiety which I read in a book, but for me it is different and it wakes me up and find it fills me up, and have to have a cup. I have the Sainsbury's Freeze Dry Jar of coffee and is my favourite out of the others ones, and was once upon a time, would be Kenco but no, not now ...

Being 45 and growing

 As a kid I felt uncomfortable about being a child, because I saw being an adult, it meant that you had more freedom than being a child. Being 45 seemed a long long milestone and now I am 45, gotten to a place where I am okay with my life, and that I have come a long way to feeling good about myself and that I am no longer fearful compared to when I was a kid. I did have a good childhood and feel very lucky with the things I have done through out it, like holiday's in Clacton and Menorca, and seeing shows up London and visits to London Zoo, Chessington Zoo before it became a Theme Park, and it was just the zoo, and getting my ears pierced up London and spent time seeing my grandparents.  There was a time I liked to go out all the time and meet friends for a drink and get plastered.
