Love Your Weekend/Tips on having a good weekend

My Weekends are mixed. I often do a radio show on some Sundays and my son does a few sports and then we will play when the weather is warmer out in the garden and we will on Saturdays watch sport if there is football or rugby on and it just a great time to just unwind and get tasks done that you can't do in the week.

Take some extra time to be with yourself. The weekend if you aren't working because of shops, hospital workers for example have to, but have some extra time to read if it possible, sit out in the garden when it is nice and sunny outdoors and I like getting up when it is dark and see the sunlight come through. If  you are a parent then ask if your spouse or partner to take the kids out whilst you spend extra time to listen to music, have a friend over or watch the Saturday morning TV.

Arrange playdate. Often if my brothers family will pay a visit but my brother plays sports but a great time to see family and in the spring summer have a family BBQ.

Have time going out for a coffee if you can't during the week. This is one thing we do every weekend. Where my son plays rugby they have a club house and so we have a coffee, chat with the other parents and then go home have lunch and love a coffee at the weekends and making the most of the weekend, as my husband works in the week so not always possible to have a coffee as a family in the week and have done this before my son arrived in the world.

Catch up on something. So Sunday mornings for me is watching a bit of comedy, Match of the Day and I do my radio show later in the day and it is good to catch up on things. Saturday I spend time with my son and in the Spring and Summer play football out in the garden and we have good chats when playing.

Control your finances. Weekends is a great way to reset and go through your finances and do No Spend. Weekends used to be a time I'd spend money and I would find myself spending my whole wage in one weekend after payday. This has now changed. As said I like a coffee but my husband and I will take it in turns in paying for a coffee, but I no longer use the weekend to spend, but to save instead.

A good night in. There was a time where I'd be out and wouldn't get home until 7am and be awake up to that time and go to an internet cafe until the buses were back on, but now I am glad I had those times, but glad they're over. I love a night in and watching Saturday night TV and have a drink indoors, but not getting drunk to the point I feel like death the next day.

#Sotheweekend use it to have fun. The housework can wait or it can be a good time to do housework but spending time with family overrides the housework and depending on your lifestyle have time to have a bath, read and just do what you like that gives you joy and chill if you don't often in the week and just be happy.
